What cookies are
Cookies are small data files a site places on your device so it can recognise your browser later. Ones set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Ones set by another company whose service runs on the site are third-party cookies, and that company can recognise your device on other sites where its service also runs.
What this site does not do
There are no advertising or targeted-advertising cookies on brucebassi.com. No Meta/Facebook pixel, no LinkedIn or TikTok tag, no session-recording tool. Nothing collected here is sold or shared. There is also nothing to sign in to, so no cookie on this site is load-bearing — you can block all of them and the site still works normally.

Analytics
Google Analytics gives aggregate statistics about how the site is used — which pages people read, roughly where they come from. It is not tied to a name or an email address here.

The chat window
Opening the chat keeps the conversation in your browser’s session storage — a short-lived store your browser empties when you close the tab. That is what stops the conversation vanishing when you click to another page. Your messages themselves are stored securely so they can be read and answered, the same as if you had emailed.
Beyond that one entry, this site does not use browser local storage.
How to turn cookies off
Any of these work, and none of them will break the site.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser. Every major browser lets you see what is stored, delete it, and block future cookies — usually under Settings → Privacy.
- Opt out of Google Analytics everywhere with Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Use private or incognito browsing, which throws cookies away when you close the window.
- Don’t open the chat — that is the only cookie this site sets itself.
Updates
This page changes when the cookies change. The date at the top is when it was last checked against the live site — every cookie above was verified in a real browser on that date, not assumed.
