A little more:
If someone were to ask me how I define myself, my first answer would be through my family. I am the youngest of five kids, so people would say that I come from a big family although I don’t think so. I’ve always wanted a younger brother or sister, but in a way I think it’s nice being the youngest kid. I have two older brothers, and two older sisters and they have taught me a lot in life. I’ve learned how to thumb wrestle much better, give indian burns, where various pressure points are, and how sneak out of the house (sorry mom). But most importantly, they have taught me that you can be successful doing anything you want. My brothers, sisters and I are so different yet we are all happy in our lives. My oldest brother is an aerospace engineer, and the other is a plumber. My oldest sister is a Jr High teacher, and the other is a microbiologist. We all have taken different routes, have different goals, but we all know the importance of having strong family ties. In a way I really miss the times when we were all living at home together, when there would be 10 peanut butter and jelly’s on the counter before school, but it’s nice growing up with everyone and seeing their own families start. I really admire them and how happy they all are, and although our career paths have diverged, I hope that I can still be like them. I may be the tallest, but I’m always going to look up to them.
